Cambodia Disregards Humanitarian Principles, Attacks Thai Civilians and Hospital

Cambodia, showing no regard for humanitarian principles, initiated hostilities by firing weapons at Thailand, directly targeting innocent civilians within Thai territory.

The Royal Thai Army strongly condemns these violent and inhumane actions by Cambodian forces, specifically citing the use of BM-21 rockets fired into residential areas.

This incident has resulted in a large number of civilian injuries. In response, Thai authorities immediately began evacuating residents from the affected areas. This includes people in their homes and those in critical locations, as Cambodia intentionally fired into civilian areas. Latest reports indicate that ‘Phanom Dong Rak’ Hospital was struck, resulting in injuries to innocent civilians.

Thais are urged to evacuate immediately for the safety of their lives and property.
